Disclosures
What StopWarden is
StopWarden attempts to detect and act on unprotected positions and orphan orders; it does not guarantee any outcome, and you remain responsible for your account. Independent; not affiliated with NinjaTrader. Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss. Check your prop firm's current rules on third-party automation.
StopWarden is software you run on your own PC against your own account. It does not manage accounts for others, does not hold or direct customer funds, does not generate trading signals and does not give investment advice. It is not a commodity trading advisor, an introducing broker, or a futures commission merchant, and it is not registered with the CFTC or a member of the NFA.
What it does and does not do
- It never opens a position and never places an entry order. Your strategy makes every trading decision.
- It can close a position and cancel orders on the one account you configure (unless you turn on the optional global cancel setting, which uses NinjaTrader's cancel-all and reaches every account): when a position has no working stop, at end of day, on the kill switch, at the balance floor, and for orphan orders after a strategy stops. The Safety page lists every case.
- It reads NinjaTrader's own log and acts only through NinjaTrader's own order interface. It confirms each action from that log. If NinjaTrader is not running, not signed in, or not connected, StopWarden cannot act until it has restored those, and it may not be able to.
- Version 1 runs one strategy on one account per PC. Pro and Team are planned to cover more strategy-account pairs; they are being built and are not on offer yet.
Automation can fail
Windows updates, NinjaTrader updates, broker or data outages, internet loss, power loss, user-interface changes, antivirus software and hardware faults can stop StopWarden from acting, or cause it to act late. Keep stop-loss orders in your strategy and broker-side risk limits. Check your account at least once per trading day.
Prop firms
Rules for automated tools differ by firm and change without notice. For Lucid, FundedNext Futures, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify and TradeDay we read the firm's own page on 24 September 2026 (re-read for four of five on 6 October 2026). Lucid and FundedNext Futures permit automated trading; MyFundedFutures' page permits automated strategies, though other write-ups describe stricter conditions; Tradeify permits it if you can prove you are the sole owner of the bot; TradeDay forbids algos and bots purchased from a third party. For Bulenox, Apex and TakeProfitTrader we have only secondhand reports, not the firm's page: Bulenox is reported to permit automated tools, and Apex and TakeProfitTrader are reported to prohibit automation. Read your firm's current terms before you use any tool on a funded account. Today StopWarden does not model your firm's drawdown or consistency rules; the optional balance floor is a simple "below this number, stop everything" check. The Pro prop guard (a trailing-drawdown floor and a daily loss limit) is in build and is not described as live until it ships.
Demonstration clips
StopWarden is not open yet. This site shows real log excerpts and screenshots of the software, not customer results. What it says about how StopWarden behaves describes the software as designed, not a promise about your account. Protect acts only after you accept the Learn report, and it attempts each action and confirms it from NinjaTrader's log.
Pricing
StopWarden is not open yet and nothing is on sale. The free tier (Scan and Watch) is planned to be free, with no time limit and no card. Planned monthly prices in US dollars: Standard $49, Pro $99, Team $199. Standard is planned for one strategy on one account. Pro and Team (more strategy-account pairs, and a prop drawdown and daily-loss guard) are being built and are not on offer. Paid plans (Standard, Pro and Team) are planned to start with a 7-day trial that requires a card, to renew automatically until cancelled, and to carry a 14-day refund on the first charge. See the EULA and Refund policy.
